New year, new Afterparty!

• 🧑‍🚀 New landing page — The landing page got a full makeover! It's now cleaner, more spaced out, and actually shows off what Afterparty can do. Still tweaking a few things before launch, tho.
• 🛍️ Pay with Stripe — After testing a bunch of payment gateways, Stripe came out on top! So now, Afterparty runs on Stripe for subscriptions and billing. Plus, adding more currencies later should be a breeze. The checkout page is now fully Stripe-integrated, and you can manage all your billing info in your account settings.

Afterparty got a bit of a 🦄 redesign! You'll notice darker base colors and sharper edges, creating an informal and sleek vibe to match the grotesque font. The 🖼️ event page saw the biggest changes (so far 👀), now featuring a huge hero section with the album title, the featured image, and some smooth gradient backgrounds. Some features, like user stories, have been temporarily removed for rework.

On the UX front, it was introduced a much-needed 👷 admin dashboard for managing albums and organizations. This new dashboard delivers a cleaner, more intuitive experience on par with what you'd expect from modern cloud storage services or tools like Facebook Page management. There's now a clear separation between public-facing content and the "back office" operations.

The 🧭 Discover page has been turned into a timeline that will soon display personalized content for each user. For now, it acts as the home page for logged-in users, serving as a hub to navigate through other sections of the application.

There is a huge focus on improving the onboarding experience for new users. It's still a work in progress, but the brand new 🤝 onboarding flow helps users set up profiles or create organizations more seamlessly.

Lastly, translations are now powered by 🪂 Paraglide. While this is a technical/internal update, it affects the user experience: URLs now include the selected language (check your URL bar), ensuring shared links display content in the correct language.

Phew, that was a lot!

This past month was dedicated to fixing problems from the initial MVP app deployment, handling bug reports and improving the overall base of the application.

This update also includes some new features:

• 🖼️ Lightbox: clicking on a photo opens it in fullscreen in a brand new lightbox.
• 📲 Stories: attendees can now post their own photos and videos to an event page.
• ❤️‍🔥 Reactions: attendees can now add reactions to events, photos and stories.
• ⚙️ Media processing: when you upload a photo, they are now added into a completely overhauled queue for processing and uploading media. This enables stories uploads (including videos!) and will later be used when editing event photos.
• 🎥 Demo video: a demonstration video was added to the landing page to showcase a bit of Afterparty.

Afterparty is (almost) here! The basics are already working and ready to get tested in the real world.
